Composition

The active substances are: ciprofloxacin, fluocinolone acetonide. One ml solution contains ciprofloxacin 3 mg (as ciprofloxacin hydrochloride 3.33 mg), fluocinolone acetonide 0.5 mg. The other components are: propylene glycol, benzalkonium chloride, purified water.

Therapeutic indications

OTOTIS is used in the treatment of acute and chronic external otitis of bacterial origin, with intact eardrum, in adults and children; particularly infected eczema of the external auditory canal.

Dosage and administration

One ml solution contains ciprofloxacin 3 mg (as ciprofloxacin hydrochloride 3.33 mg), fluocinolone acetonide 0.5 mg.

One ml solution contains 30 drops.

The product is intended exclusively for auricular use, in adults and children.

Instillations into the affected ear:

- 3 drops twice a day for 7 days in acute external otitis;

- for chronic forms, with antibiogram showing sensitivity to ciprofloxacin, treatment is extended up to 21 days.

To avoid unpleasant contact of the cold solution with the ear, warm the bottle between your hands before use.

Tilt your head sideways, instill 3 drops and keep your head tilted for a few minutes.

Precautions

If symptoms do not subside after 7 days of treatment with OTOTIS, reconsideration of diagnosis and treatment is recommended.

If local irritation phenomena occur, treatment should be discontinued.
