Composition. The active substance is bifonazole. One gram of Biazol cream contains 10 mg bifonazole. The other components are: 2-octyldodecanol, cetostearyl alcohol, cetyl palmitate, sorbitan monostearate, polysorbate 60, benzyl alcohol, purified water.

Therapeutic indications. Biazol belongs to a group of medicines called antifungals, which act against skin diseases caused by fungi.

Biazol is indicated for infections caused by different types of fungi, located in various regions of the body:

- mycotic infections, especially interdigital (Tinea pedis, Tinea manus);

- mycotic infections of the trunk (Tinea corporis);

- mycotic infections of skin folds (Tinea cruris);

- skin and genital mucous membrane infections with Candida;

- pityriasis versicolor;

- erythrasma (bacterial skin infection in the axillary and inguinal areas).

Dosage and administration.

Always use Biazol exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Before application, wash and dry the affected skin areas. Apply the cream to the affected area, in a thin layer, with a gentle massage, once a day, preferably in the evening, before bedtime.

The duration of treatment depends on the type of infection and its location:

- in the case of dermatomycosis, generally 2-3 weeks;

- in the case of candidiasis, 2-3 weeks;

- in the case of pityriasis versicolor and erythrasma, 2 weeks.

Precautions.

Take special care when using Biazol

- if a skin rash appears after applying Biazol, stop treatment immediately.

Biazol is intended for skin application. You should avoid contact with the eyes.

Due to the potential risk of liver toxicity, caution is recommended when applying: -

to large areas of skin;

- to areas with skin lesions;

- in infants (due to the body surface area/weight ratio and the occlusive effect – not allowing air passage under diapers). In infants, Biazol should only be administered under medical supervision.

In Candida infections, you should not use soap with an acidic pH (it promotes the development of infections).

Special warnings.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.

Pregnancy

In the first 3 months of pregnancy, you should not use Biazol; in the other months of pregnancy, Biazol can only be used if your doctor considers it absolutely necessary.

Breastfeeding

You should not use Biazol if you are breastfeeding.

Driving and using machines

Biazol does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.

Packaging. Biazol is available in boxes with a 15 g aluminum tube of cream.
