Description
The generous use of crystal malts gives this Kent, England, ale a fiery ember color with autumnal hues. The complex aromas of rich, biscuity malt entice with generous notes of dried apricot, peach and raisin. If you’re expecting a sweet beer, think again, this is a beer as complex and dense as a plum pudding with lashings of Sicilian orange marmalade. All this, combined with the hops, gives a pine forest aroma and helps keep the dryness that is typical of this style of beer. Bishops Finger comes from one of the oldest breweries in the world and continues to pick up awards including Bronze at the 2011 International Beer Challenge, Champion Beer at the Hong Kong International Beer Awards and Gold at the Daily Telegraph Taste of Britain Awards. Bishops Finger is one of the few beers that has been granted a Protected Geographical Indication, similar to Champagne.
