About the producer
The story of the aromatic Angostura bitter begins in 1824, when Dr. Johann Siegert first creates medicinal tinctures to relieve stomach pain. Soon Dr. Siegert begins to export his products to England, the Caribbean and the United States. In the 1870s, Don Carlos Siegert, one of his sons, emigrated to Trinidad and founded the Angostura brand as an ingredient for cocktails and food. Over time, people's interest and curiosity in cocktails began to grow more and more and with them the consumption of bitter increased. In 1955, the company was named supplier to Queen Elizabeth II, Angostura being the only bitter brand in the world that can boast such a title. Today, Angostura bitters are an essential ingredient for bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts, who use their imagination to find a new use for them every time.
