Tantum Verde 1.5 mg/ml gargle solution is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.
At concentrations for topical administration, Tantum Verde 1.5 mg/ml gargle solution has a moderate local anesthetic and disinfectant action.
It has an analgesic effect in cases of inflammatory pain.
Tantum Verde 1.5 mg/ml gargle solution in diluted form can also be used for oral hygiene.
Indications:
Anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatment in inflammatory conditions of the oro-pharyngeal mucosa (stomatitis, pharyngitis) and gums.
Tantum Verde 1.5 mg/ml gargle solution is also indicated in dentistry after tooth extractions.
Ingredients:
The active substance is benzydamine hydrochloride. One ml of solution contains 1.5 mg of
benzydamine hydrochloride.
The other components are: ethanol 96%, glycerol, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate (E 218), mint flavor,
saccharin, sodium hydrogen carbonate, polysorbate 20, quinoline yellow (E 104), patent blue V (E
131), purified water.
Method of administration:
In inflammations, it is recommended to administer 15 ml of Tantum Verde 1.5 mg/ml gargle solution (one tablespoon), undiluted, 2-3 times a day, as a gargle, after meals. Administration should be performed for 20-30 seconds.
The solution can also be administered in diluted form, for daily mouthwashes, for oral hygiene. Dilute
one tablespoon (15 ml) of gargle solution with 15 ml of water and administer 2-3 times a day, after meals.
Tantum Verde should not be administered to young children and individuals who do not have control over the swallowing reflex, as administration of the solution may lead to choking. If no improvement is observed after 7 days of treatment with benzydamine, the patient should consult a doctor.
