Mangosteen
The fruit is round, colored from maroon to reddish brown. The fruits are about the size of small oranges. The peel is hard and firm and is not eaten, it is removed. The interior of the mangosteen consists of four to seven segments, each with green, edible seeds. The taste is slightly sweet and sour, delicious!
The mangosteen is native to Indonesia and has gradually spread to Australia, Africa and South America.
Attention!
When the peel is hit, the juice flows out of the fruit and stains. The stains are purple and are difficult to remove.
Our tip: Mangosteen tart
Mix the cream with a mixer first slowly, then at a higher speed until it hardens a little. Then add the powdered sugar and continue mixing until the texture of whipped cream is obtained. Add the jam, mix and put in the refrigerator. Put the fruits to squeeze. Knead a dough with all the ingredients and put it in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes. Roll out the dough, put it in a greased pan, prick it with a fork and keep it in the oven for 15-20 minutes. After baking, let it cool. Put a layer of cream on top and decorate with the mangosteen fruits. Serve cold.
