Colonia ECO Honeydew Honey

Colonia raw honey is a natural, pure, unheated honey, thus preserving its intact and live enzymes and vitamins that give it nutritional qualities and exceptional benefits.

Honeydew honey is also called forest honey because it is obtained in forest areas that can be both coniferous (fir, spruce, pine, etc.) and deciduous (maple, oak, etc.).

Honeydew honey does not come from nectar, but from honeydew - the secretion of aphids - a sweet substance found at certain times of the year on the leaves or stems of certain trees (conifers, oak). - aphids - small insects that feed on the sap of trees and which eliminate a sweet substance, honeydew, later collected by bees.

Compared to other types of honey, honeydew honey is richer in minerals, such as manganese, phosphorus, zinc, cobalt and sulfur. In addition, we also find calcium, magnesium, iron and potassium in higher quantities, together with polyphenols and other antioxidants and prebiotics (a source of food for the bacteria in the intestines that contribute to good digestion).

Honeydew honey has a lower amount of glucose than honey obtained from flower nectar and a higher percentage of complex sugars is found in it.

Properties, uses and benefits:

•  Honeydew honey has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, immunostimulant properties, helps to cure some bacterial, dermatological, degenerative, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases;
•  Used externally it is beneficial for wounds and antirheumatic diseases;
•  It is also used against inflammation of the ovaries;
•  It is useful in respiratory conditions;
•  Used as an expectorant and calming of the breath for lung diseases and chronic cough. Good for asthma and bronchitis. If honey is consumed with honeycomb, it will have bronchodilatory effects;

It helps fight fatigue, soothes coughs and sore throats, improves the appearance of the skin and soothes gastritis, and can even be useful in treating gastric ulcers.
