Description:
The active substance, chlorhexidine digluconate, is known for its antibacterial action. This means it destroys a wide variety of bacteria, fungi, and some viruses that cause inflammation and infection in the oral cavity, reducing the formation of bacterial plaque on teeth and gums.

It is used for:
- inhibiting the formation of bacterial plaque;
- treatment and prophylaxis of gingivitis which causes redness, inflammation and sometimes bleeding of the gums;
- maintaining oral hygiene, especially when tooth brushing cannot be performed adequately (after oral surgery or in patients with physical and mental disabilities);
- contributing to the healing process after surgical interventions or dental treatments;
- treatment of recurrent aphthous oral ulcers and canker sores;
- treatment of denture-induced ulcerations (denture stomatitis) and recurrent oral candidiasis;
- in periodontal conditions after treatment.
