Composition

Therapeutic indications
Faringo Intensiv contains flurbiprofen. Flurbiprofen belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These medicines work by changing the way the body responds to pain, inflammation, and fever.
Faringo Intensiv is used for the short-term relief of throat symptoms such as sore throat, irritation, inflammation, and difficulty swallowing, in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
If you do not feel better or feel worse after 3 days, you should consult a doctor.
Contraindications/Warnings
Before taking Faringo Intensiv, talk to your doctor or pharmacist:
- If you have ever had bronchial asthma or suffer from allergies
- If you have tonsillitis (inflammation of the tonsils) or if you think you may have a bacterial infection in your throat (as you may need antibiotics)
- If you have heart, liver, or kidney problems
- If you have had a stroke
- If you have a history of intestinal diseases (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease)
- If you have high blood pressure
- If you have a chronic autoimmune disease (including systemic lupus erythematosus or mixed connective tissue disease)
Dosage and administration
Always use exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:
One lozenge every 3-6 hours, as needed.
Do not take more than 5 lozenges within 24 hours.
- Take 1 lozenge and allow it to dissolve slowly in your mouth.
- Always move the lozenge around your mouth while it is dissolving.
Special warnings
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Do not take this medicine if you are in the last trimester of pregnancy. If you are in the first 6 months
of pregnancy or if you are breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.
Driving and using machinery
No studies on the effects on the ability to drive and use machinery have been performed. However, dizziness and visual disturbances are possible side effects after NSAID administration. If you experience these disturbances, you should not drive or use machinery.
