Carpatina natural mineral water is an alkaline, oligomineral water that comes from the Domogled Spring located in the Baile Herculane resort, at the foot of the Cerna limestone escarpment. The spring was first captured in 1892 by craftsmen from the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
The water comes from a spring-gallery dug 2000 years ago by Roman legionaries who had their camp at Mehadia. Starting with the 19th century, the water from Herculane became appreciated by the representatives of the Imperial Court of Vienna, especially by Frantz Iozef and Princess Sisi.
Natural purity, low mineralization and sodium make it suitable for detoxification cures, low-sodium diets and for preparing baby food.
