Strepsils Honey and Lemon belongs to a group of medicines called antiseptics.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Driving and using machines:
Strepsils Honey and Lemon has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
Ingredients:
- The active substances are amylmetacresol 0.6 mg and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2 mg per lozenge.
- The other ingredients are: tartaric acid, lemon oil, peppermint oil, quinoline yellow (E 104) (contains sodium), honey, sugar, glucose (contains wheat starch and sulfur dioxide (E 220)).
Method of administration:
Always take Strepsils Honey and Lemon exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Dosage:
Adverse reactions can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose necessary to control symptoms, for the shortest possible duration (see section 4.4).
The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days as imbalances of the microbial flora in the oral cavity may occur with the risk of bacterial or fungal infections.
Adults:
The recommended dose is one Strepsils Honey and Lemon lozenge every 2-3 hours; do not exceed 12 lozenges within a 24-hour period.
Paediatric population:
Children over 6 years of age: the recommended dose is similar to that for adults.
Children under 6 years of age:
Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
Elderly:
No dose adjustment is necessary for this category of patients.
