FARINGO INTENSIV SPRAY 15ML

Composition

The active substance is flurbiprofen. One dose (3 sprays) contains flurbiprofen 8.75 mg. One spray contains flurbiprofen 2.92 mg. One milliliter of oropharyngeal spray solution contains flurbiprofen 17.16 mg

Therapeutic indications

The active substance is flurbiprofen. Flurbiprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which work by changing the way the body responds to pain, inflammation and fever.

Faringo Intensiv is used for the short-term relief of symptoms in the throat, such as irritation, pain, difficulty swallowing and inflammation, in adults aged 18 years and over.

Contraindications/Warnings

Before taking Faringo Intensiv talk to your doctor or pharmacist if:

• You are already taking another non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) or aspirin.
• You have tonsillitis (inflamed tonsils) or think you may have a bacterial infection in your throat (as you may need antibiotics).
• You are elderly (as you are more likely to get side effects).
• You have or have ever had asthma or allergies.
• You have a skin condition called lupus erythematosus or mixed connective tissue disease.
• You have high blood pressure (hypertension).
• You have a history of bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease).

Dosage and method of administration

Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults aged 18 years and over: one dose of 3 sprays to the back of the throat, every 3-6 hours as required, up to a maximum of 5 doses in any 24 hour period.

One dose (3 sprays) contains flurbiprofen 8.75 mg.

• Spray towards the back of the throat only.
• Do not inhale while spraying
• Do not use more than 5 doses (15 sprays) in any 24 hour period.

Faringo Intensiv is for short-term use only.

You should use the lowest dose that relieves your symptoms for the shortest time necessary.

If irritation of the mouth occurs, flurbiprofen should be discontinued.

Special warnings

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Driving and using machines

This medicine should not affect your ability to drive or use machines. However, dizziness and visual disturbances are possible side effects after taking NSAIDs. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery.

Package: Faringo Intensiv consists of a plastic bottle with solution, held in a dispenser, fitted with a mechanical spray pump.

Each bottle contains 15 ml of solution, which provides 88 sprays.
