About the Producer
The Catleya estate is located in the Corcova region of Romania. The region has a rich past. In the midst of the Belle Époque period, Prince Anton Bibescu, Marcel Proust and their friends tasted the wines of Corcova in Paris, while evoking the orange blossom flowers from that mythical place.
In 2007, three Frenchmen passionate about wines and in love with Romania, chose this Proustian image to symbolize the wines obtained from the vineyards replanted on the old lands of Prince Bibescu.
Tasting Catleya wines is an opportunity to live a unique sensory experience. The palette of colors, the richness of aromas and flavors, everything evokes Corcova described by Marcel Proust, its flowering vineyards and sunny hills.
