Composition. One gram of gel contains 10 mg diclofenac sodium. Excipients: propylene glycol 100 mg/g, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate 1 mg/g

Therapeutic indications.

Symptomatic local treatment of:

- muscular or osteoarticular pain of rheumatic origin;

- postoperative and post-traumatic edema;

- muscular or osteoarticular pain of traumatic nature (minor injuries to tendons, ligaments, etc.)

Dosage and administration.

Adults

Diclofenac Chirmis is administered externally, 2 - 4 applications per day, to the affected area. To facilitate gel absorption, a gentle and prolonged massage should be performed on the painful and/or inflamed area. After each application, hands should be washed carefully. Except in strictly recommended cases, for soft tissue injuries or abarticular rheumatism, the gel should not be used for more than 14 days, and for arthritic pain, for a period longer than 21 days. If after 5 days of treatment no improvement in symptoms is observed or they worsen, the diagnosis and treatment should be re-evaluated.

Children

Diclofenac Chirmis is not recommended for use in children due to lack of safety data.

Precautions.

The medicine should not be applied to mucous membranes, especially in the eyes.

It should not be applied to areas with skin lesions or wounds.

The appearance of a skin rash after applying diclofenac requires immediate discontinuation of treatment.

In case of prolonged use, it is recommended that persons applying the gel wear gloves.

Application under an occlusive dressing is not recommended.

Special warnings.

Pregnancy and lactation

In humans, no teratogenic effect has been reported with diclofenac, but further epidemiological studies are needed to confirm the absence of risk when using diclofenac during pregnancy. Consequently, the medicine should be administered during the first 5 months of pregnancy only if absolutely necessary

Effects on ability to drive and use machines

Diclofenac Chirmis does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery.
