Composition

Therapeutic indications
Canesten Gyn 3 contains clotrimazole. This is a medicine belonging to the group of medicines called imidazole derivatives, which are used for the treatment of fungal infections. Clotrimazole inhibits the growth and multiplication of fungal cells such as yeasts, certain species of fungi, and certain bacteria.
Canesten Gyn 3 is used for the treatment of vaginal infections.
Vaginal discharge is the most common manifestation of infections caused by fungi that can exist in the vagina without you even noticing. However, under certain circumstances, fungi can develop, causing a vaginal infection, and symptoms can spread around the infected area (to the vulva).
The most common symptoms of vaginal infections are:
- Itching of the vulva and vagina;
- Redness and swelling of the vaginal and vulvar tissues;
- Burning sensation in the vagina;
- White, odorless vaginal discharge.
Not all women with vaginal infections have all these symptoms. You may only have one of these symptoms.

Dosage and administration
Insert the Canesten Gyn 3 tablet into the vagina with the help of the applicator, as deeply as possible, at bedtime. The vaginal tablet should be inserted while lying on your back, with your legs spread apart and slightly bent.
