Miil Feta P.D.O.

Miil Feta Cheese P.D.O., a traditional Greek treasure that stands out with its unique salty taste. This cheese is made from a blend of sheep's and goat's milk, which gives it its characteristic smoothness and richness. Mill Feta is soft, with a smooth and crumbly texture. It is like a small cheese miracle, formed into large blocks and matured in brine. Its taste is then sour and salty, from mild to sharp.

PDO stands for Protected Designation of Origin. Since 2002, Feta has been a protected designation of origin in the European Union. EU legislation and national legislation in 25 other countries restrict the name feta to cheeses produced in the traditional way in mainland Greece and the prefecture of Lesvos, which are made from sheep's and goat's milk from the same region.

Serving suggestion

Feta is not only an appetizer with olives, but also goes wonderfully with pasta or in a traditional Greek salad. Feta is also used in pastries, especially in Greek pastry specialities such as spinach and feta pie or cheese pie. Whether you serve it simply with olive oil or olives, be sure to sprinkle it with aromatic herbs to enhance its flavour. Or try grilling it!
