Composition
The active substance is bromhexine hydrochloride. Each tablet contains 12 mg of bromhexine hydrochloride.
Therapeutic indications
Bromhexin Laropharm 12 mg tablets is a mucolytic drug that increases the amount of sputum expectorated and decreases its viscosity. It improves bronchial transport, reduces coughing and eases breathing.
Bromhexin Laropharm 12 mg tablets is administered to adults, adolescents and children over 10 years of age, in acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by impairment of the sputum formation mechanism.
Dosage and method of administration
Adults: 12 mg of bromhexine hydrochloride (1 tablet of Bromhexin Laropharm 12 mg) three times a day.
Children over 10 years of age: 12 mg of bromhexine hydrochloride (1 tablet of Bromhexin Laropharm 12 mg) twice a day.
Bromhexin Laropharm 12 mg tablets are administered orally, after meals. During therapy with bromhexine, it is recommended to consume an adequate amount of fluids, as this improves the mucolytic action of bromhexine on secretions.
Precautions
There have been reports of severe skin reactions associated with the administration of bromhexine. If you develop a transient skin rash (including lesions of the mucous membranes, such as the oral, pharyngeal, nasal, ocular and genital mucosa), stop taking Bromhexin Laropharm 12 mg tablets and consult your doctor immediately.
Bromhexine administration may cause severe allergic adverse reactions, such as difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, throat or tongue. Stop using this medicine and consult your doctor immediately if these symptoms occur.
