Composition. The active substance is silver sulfadiazine. One gram of cream contains 10 mg of silver sulfadiazine. The other components are: cetyl alcohol, hydrogenated peanut oil, polysorbate 60 (Tween 60), propylene glycol, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate (E 218), propyl p-hydroxybenzoate (E 216), purified water

Therapeutic indications.

Dermazin contains the active substance silver sulfadiazine. It works by destroying bacteria or stopping their growth. Dermazin is primarily indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of infections caused by burns in burn patients. Dermazin is also intended for the treatment and prophylaxis of infections in pressure ulcers, varicose ulcers, excoriations, minor traumatic wounds, in incisions and other clean wounds on areas from which skin grafts have been taken.

Dosage and administration.

Dermazin is intended for cutaneous (topical) use only. Before application, clean and remove dead tissue. Then apply Dermazin in a thin layer 2-4 mm thick; it is preferable to apply the cream on a sterile dressing, which you then place on the lesion.

The cream is applied once a day, with a sterile spatula or disposable gloves. Generally, the cream should be reapplied at 24-hour intervals.

Before each application of the cream, the lesion should be washed under a stream of antiseptic solution or water to remove cream residues and exudate that appears pus-like in color but is actually aseptic, which appears abundantly after applying Dermazin.

Precautions.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Demazin:

- if irritation or sensitization occurs during the use of Dermazin, you must stop using it and contact your doctor immediately.

- if you know you are allergic to sulfadiazine

- if you have kidney or liver problems

Special warnings.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Treatment with Dermazin during pregnancy or breastfeeding should only be initiated on your doctor's recommendation. Given the limited experience and the previously mentioned risks, silver sulfadiazine should be used with caution in pregnant women or women planning to become pregnant. It is not known whether silver sulfadiazine is excreted in breast milk.

Driving and using machines

No studies have been conducted on the effects of Dermazin on the ability to drive or use machines.
