Kalamata olives with pits or Kalamon as they are also called are specific to southern Greece, being found only in the Peloponnese peninsula. They are considered a delicacy among olives, being large, fleshy and with an intense aroma. They are dark in color.

The olives we sell come from a small producer in the Peloponnese, the Stamatakos family. They are harvested by hand, processed with a special vacuum machine and stored in special custom-made glass containers, in a little extra virgin olive oil made by the same producer.
The way Kalamata olives are stored until they are ready for consumption is a traditional one, kept for generations in the family of the small producer Stamatakos. The olives retain all their qualities, being a delight to serve at every meal.
