Basilescu Golem Red Dry Wine

This is a red, dry blend, made from five different wines in structure and three grape varieties: Feteasca Neagra, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, of which only two are barricated for 6 months in French and Romanian oak barrels. The aromatic imprint is made up of cocoa, chocolate and forest fruit perfumes with notes of dried plums, generally characteristic of Feteasca Neagra wine, after which the mineral and vegetal part stands out, in which Cabernet and Merlot bring the herbaceous spice, of tobacco, black pepper, cinnamon and cloves. The taste is of a strong wine, which explodes in various aromas, completing the aromatic palette described during the olfactory analysis. Currants and blackberries blend pleasantly with sweet, vanilla coffee, together establishing the full body of the wine. The terroir plays an important role in obtaining this special wine - sun exposure, terraces, manual cultivation

About the producer

The Basilescu Winery is the oldest winery in Dealu Mare, with a history and tradition of over 100 years. And as any great creation is born from a divine feeling, Basilescu wines have woven their origin from the beautiful love story between the young Aristide Basilescu and the young princess Aglae Saint Georges de Posingen, a descendant of a family documented since 400 AD. Their love was a blessing for the viticultural activity of Urlati. During that period, they started collaborating with the Capsa restaurant and Maison de Champagne St. Marceaux & Co. The wines obtained from the Urlati vineyard were also used in the production of the famous Nicolae Basilescu & St. Marceaux & Co. Champagne.
