Original Japanese wasabi paste, made in Japan. Over 95% of the Wasabi pastes on the sushi market do not contain the Wasabi plant, but only horseradish. Pastes that do not contain wasabi are relatively easy to identify because the paste is very hot, as if you were eating only horseradish, you feel the heat all the way to the top, as if you were on fire. The real Wasabi paste, which contains the Wasabi plant, is much softer, more "natural" in taste, and is medium spicy. However, it is much more expensive, because a Wasabi plant root has to grow for 2-3 years before it can be harvested.
