Therapeutic indications.
Nicorette Clear is a medicine to help you stop smoking.
Nicorette Clear is used to treat tobacco dependence, to relieve cravings (nicotine) and nicotine withdrawal symptoms, which helps motivated smokers to give up smoking.
When you stop smoking and no longer provide your body with nicotine from tobacco, you may experience unpleasant feelings called withdrawal symptoms. By using Nicorette Clear you can prevent or reduce these unpleasant feelings - by using it, Nicorette Clear will continue to provide your body with a small amount of nicotine in its pure form, which does not carry the health risks associated with smoking.
The health risks associated with smoking are caused by the toxins contained in tobacco. Counseling and support usually improve the chances of quitting smoking. If possible, use medication as part of a smoking cessation program.
If used as recommended, Nicorette Clear will help control potential weight gain after you quit smoking.
Nicorette Clear should not be used by non-smokers.
Dosage and method of administration.
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Do not exceed the recommended maximum dose. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
You should try to give up smoking completely during treatment with Nicorette Clear.
Nicorette Clear patches can be used alone or in combination, either with Nicorette Freshfruit/Icemint 2 mg medicated chewing gum or Nicorette 1mg/ml spray, oropharyngeal spray solution.
The safety and efficacy of the medicine in children and adolescents have not been studied. Nicorette Clear should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
