Olynth Duo nasal spray contains xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexpanthenol. Xylometazoline hydrochloride rapidly constricts blood vessels in the nasal mucosa and reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa.
Dexpanthenol is a derivative of the vitamin called pantothenic acid, which helps wound healing and protects the nasal mucosa.
Olynth Duo is indicated:
- for reducing swelling of the nasal mucosa in case of inflammation of the nasal mucosa (rhinitis) and to support wound healing of the mucosa,
- for relieving inflammation of the nasal membrane of non-allergic origin (vasomotor rhinitis),
- for the treatment of worsening nasal breathing after nasal surgery; the use of Olynth Duo in this indication is only possible on a doctor's recommendation.
This medicine is intended for use in adults, adolescents, and children aged 6 years or over.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1.
