HERBION LICHEN DE PIATRA 6MG/ML SIROP 150ML

Composition.

The active substance is stone lichen extract 6 mg (Cetraria islandica (L.) Acharius s.l., tallus), equivalent to stone lichen moss 96¿108 mg. The other ingredients are: liquid sorbitol (non-crystallising) (E420), xanthan gum, sodium benzoate (E 211), citric acid, lemon flavour (ethyl alcohol). Extraction solvent: purified water.

Therapeutic indications.

Herbion stone lichen syrup contains stone lichen extract. It is a herbal medicine: traditional herbal medicinal product used exclusively based on long-standing use for

- dry, irritating cough,

- mild inflammations of the upper respiratory tract and irritation of the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat, including hoarseness and sore throat.

Stone lichen extract syrup contains large amounts of water-soluble mucilages, which cover, protect and hydrate the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat, alleviating irritation and dry cough.

Dosage and method of administration.

Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 16 years of age: 15 ml syrup, 4 times a day.

Recommended dose for children aged 10 to 16 years: 10 ml syrup 4 times a day.

Recommended dose for children aged 4 to 10 years: 5 ml syrup 4 times a day.

Recommended dose for children aged 1 to 4 years: 2.5 ml syrup 4 times a day.

Do not eat or drink fluids immediately after taking Herbion stone lichen syrup, as the medicine may be removed from the oral and pharyngeal mucosa too early.

The duration of treatment depends on the cause and severity of the condition and treatment may continue for a longer period of time. It is recommended to administer the medicine for a few days after the clinical signs of the disease have disappeared.

The bottle must be shaken well before use.

Precautions.

- if you have difficulty breathing, fever, chronic cough, hoarseness or blood-stained sputum, consult your doctor immediately.

- if the condition does not improve after 5 days of treatment, consult your doctor. Special warnings.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Herbion stone lichen syrup is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding because there is insufficient clinical data on the use of stone lichen in pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Driving and using machines

Herbion stone lichen syrup is known not to affect the ability to drive and use machines.

Packaging. The syrup is available in a box with 1 bottle containing 150 ml of syrup and a dosing spoon.
