Composition

1 ml SALMET ¿ T 20 mg/ml, cutaneous solution contains methyl salicylate 20 mg and excipients.

Therapeutic indications

It can be used in the local treatment of muscle, joint, or soft tissue pain in adults, adolescents, and children over 7 years of age.

Dosage and administration

Adults, adolescents, and children over 7 years of age: apply 2-3 times a day, a sufficient amount of cutaneous solution to cover the affected area in a thin layer and gently massage until the solution is completely absorbed into the skin. After use, hand washing is recommended. In case of accidental contact with eyes, wash the area with plenty of water.

Precautions

Salmet ¿ T should not be applied to large areas of skin; also, in breastfeeding women, it should not be applied to the breasts.

This medicine contains, among other excipients, terpene derivatives (menthol and some components of pine oil), which reduce the epileptogenic threshold and, in excessive doses, can cause convulsions in children and agitation in the elderly.
