J&B Rare Blended Scotch Whisky

A Blended Scotch Whisky inspired by an Italian, created in London and distilled in Scotland, J&B Rare is unlike any other Scotch whisky. It brings together 42 types of single malt and grain whiskies, carefully and attentively blended to create a subtle, delicate, and complex aroma. This hard-to-achieve balance is precisely what gives J&B Rare its distinctive character – if even a single type of whisky were removed from the blend, the difference would be noticeable. J&B Rare is produced with Speyside single malt whiskies, a Scottish region renowned for single malt whisky production. They are what give it both the freshness and fruity character felt on the palate, as well as its light color. To these are added some of the best grain whiskies Scotland has to offer, helping to reveal the individual aromas of the various malts and thus unveiling the delicate character of J&B Rare.

About the producer

A love story, journeys between continents, chance encounters, and an arrest that almost ended an adventure that had barely begun. The history of J&B could be a novel full of intrigue and excitement, two ingredients that have accompanied us on our journey and built a brand enriched with the best of every experience.

Two generations of Johnson later, we meet the other initial of J&B: Alfred Brooks. Brooks bought the company from Johnson and renamed it Justerini&Brooks. Brooks then heard of Andrew Usher, an Edinburgh spirits merchant who loved to experiment and who had become the first person to commercialize blended whisky.
