Composition.

The active substance is xylometazoline hydrochloride, 0.5 mg per milliliter of solution. Each spray of Olynth 0.5 mg/ml (= 0.070 ml) contains 35 µg (or 0.035 mg) xylometazoline hydrochloride. The other components are: sodium edetate, sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, disodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sorbitol (E420), benzalkonium chloride, solution and purified water.

Therapeutic indications.

Olynth contains xylometazoline, which helps reduce nasal mucosal congestion, reducing inflammation of the mucous membrane (nasal mucosa), to help you breathe easier.

The medicine is used for the short-term treatment of nasal congestion accompanied by nasal discharge, associated with colds or sinusitis.

Dosage and administration.

Children aged 2-12 years.

Unless otherwise recommended by your doctor or pharmacist, use one puff of Olynth 0.5 mg/ml in each nostril up to 3 times a day, for a maximum of 7 days.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

To reduce the risk of infection transmission, each bottle must be used by only one person, and the nozzle should be rinsed after each use.

Precautions.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine if you or your child:

Olynth should not be used during pregnancy as its effect on the unborn child is unknown. If you are breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before using this medicine. Driving and using machines

Olynth 0.5 has no known effect on the ability to drive vehicles and use machines.
