Composition
The active substance is minoxidil 2 g per 100 ml cutaneous solution. The other components are gamma-cyclodextrin, propylene glycol, 96% ethanol, purified water.
Therapeutic indications
This medicine comes in the form of a solution for cutaneous application. It is indicated for moderate hair loss (androgenic alopecia) in adults, men or women. It promotes hair growth and stabilizes the phenomenon of hair loss.
Dosage and administration
To be used only by adults.
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The usual dose is one application twice a day, a dose of one ml cutaneous solution on the scalp, starting from the center of the area to be treated. The daily dose should not exceed 2 ml cutaneous solution, regardless of the size of the area to be treated.
Spread the cutaneous solution with your fingertips to cover the entire area to be treated.
Before applying the cutaneous solution, wash your hands carefully.
Apply the cutaneous solution to perfectly dry hair and scalp.
Apply one ml of cutaneous solution in the morning and one ml of cutaneous solution in the evening.
Precautions
Do not apply minoxidil:
- If you do not have a family history of hair loss, hair loss is sudden and/or uneven, hair loss is an effect of childbirth, or the causes of hair loss are unknown. In these cases, consult your doctor before using this medicine as the treatment may not be effective for these types of hair loss.
- On any other part of the body
- If the scalp is red, inflamed, infected, irritated or painful, if it shows persistent redness or inflammation, or is sensitive to touch. The medicine should only be applied to a healthy scalp.
- Do not apply this medicine at the same time as other dermatological medicines for the scalp.
Special warnings
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, fertility
Minoxidil is not recommended during pregnancy.
The use of minoxidil is not recommended during breastfeeding.
Driving and using machines
It does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and use machines.
