Is this result useful?
Exoderil cream is indicated against fungal skin infections.
It is applied topically, once a day, as recommended by the doctor or pharmacist.
Exoderil 10 mg/g cream (naftifine hydrochloride) is an antifungal medicine for skin use.
It is recommended for the treatment of the following infections:
- fungal infections of the skin or skin folds (tinea corporis, tinea inghinalis);
- fungal infections of the foot, especially interdigital, on the sole and on the nails
(onychomycosis);
- fungal infections of the hand, located interdigitally and on the nails (onychomycosis);
- Candida skin infections;
- Pityriasis versicolor;
- inflammatory dermatomycoses (with or without itching).
Exoderil has, in addition to its antimycotic effect, an antibacterial activity against various gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, which can frequently occur associated with fungal infections. Additionally, an anti-inflammatory effect appears during clinical use; this effect leads to rapid improvement of inflammatory signs, particularly itching.
How to use:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Exoderil is used once a day, in a thin layer, on the affected skin area (previously cleaned and dried) and gently massaged.
Even if the symptoms of the skin infection (itching, burning) have disappeared quickly, it is important to continue treatment for another two weeks after the disappearance of infection symptoms, to ensure permanent healing of fungal infections. Before or during the treatment of nail infections, the affected nail should be cut as short as possible and its surface protected. Fungal nail infections must be treated for several months, until a new nail has grown.
In order to heal the fungal infection (mycosis) as soon as possible, please consider the following aspects:
1. Microbes can adhere to textile material, making contact with the infected skin area. Therefore, daily change of clothes is necessary.
2. Normal and particularly dry skin provides good protection against fungal infections. It is recommended to avoid covering the infected skin area with tight clothing or clothing items that allow limited ventilation or no ventilation (e.g., socks made of artificial textile fibers worn in tight shoes). Also, after washing, you must dry the infected area well. Any towel or clothing must be changed daily.
3. In the case of athlete's foot, you should not walk barefoot at home, in the bathroom, or, for example, in a hotel.
This is how you can prevent re-infection and prevent the further spread of pathogenic microbes.
4. Saunas or steam baths should only be frequented after the fungal infection has been completely healed.
