About the producer
Serena Wines was founded in 1881 by Pietro Serena. The family business has now reached its 5th generation under the guidance of Giorgio Serena and his son, Luca. Of the total 2000 Prosecco producers, Serena ranks in the top 5 in volume. The number one priority is product quality and consumer satisfaction. The product range varies from Prosecco DOC and DOCG to sparkling wines and still red and white wines. The production area extends over the hills of the province of Treviso between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. It includes the territory of 15 municipalities and covers an area of approximately 18,000 hectares of agricultural land. Glera grapes have been grown in this region for over 2 centuries. Since the 19th century when the School of Viticulture and Enology and the Experimental Station of Viticulture were founded in Conegliano, studies on Prosecco have increased, thus promoting the area. Prosecco is a wine capable of enchanting and satisfying even the most refined connoisseurs. Prosecco has a straw yellow color with golden reflections and a fine and persistent perlage, a complex bouquet with notes of roses, jasmine and acacia flowers. It also has fruity notes of apple, banana and pineapple with mineral nuances. A fresh taste with excellent persistence. An ideal wine for any occasion, especially as an aperitif. It is recommended to be consumed with fish-based dishes.
