This medicine is used for the treatment of symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux, such as acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion (reflux-related) which occur, for example, after meals or during pregnancy or in patients with symptoms associated with reflux oesophagitis.
Contraindications:
Do not take Gaviscon Menthol chewable tablets:
- if you know you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients, as very rarely breathing difficulties and skin rashes have occurred.

Important information about some ingredients of Gaviscon Menthol chewable tablets
If you have phenylketonuria, consider that this medicine is sweetened with aspartame, which is a source of phenylalanine.
Ingredients:
- The active substances in each chewable tablet are: sodium alginate 250 mg, sodium hydrogen carbonate 133.5 mg and calcium carbonate 80 mg.
- The other ingredients are: macrogol 20000, mannitol (E 421), mint flavour, aspartame (E 951), acesulfame potassium, copovidone, magnesium stearate.
Method of administration:
Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2 to 4 tablets after meals and at bedtime (maximum 4 times a day).
Children under 12 years of age: administer only on medical advice. If you forget to take a dose, it is not necessary to double the dose next time, just continue to take the medicine as you did before.
If you take too much of this medicine, it is unlikely to affect you in any way. However, you may feel bloated. Consult your doctor if this feeling does not go away.
