Composition. The active substances are paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride and ascorbic acid. Each sachet of powder for oral suspension contains 1000 mg paracetamol, 10 mg phenylephrine hydrochloride and 40 mg ascorbic acid (vitamin C). The other components are: sugar, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, corn starch, lemon flavour, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide and curcumin (E 100).

Therapeutic indications.

Coldrex is a remedy used for the short-term symptomatic relief of flu, feverish conditions, chills and common colds, including headache, sore throat, discomfort and muscle aches, nasal congestion, sinusitis, as well as pain and acute nasal catarrh associated with it.

Dosage and administration.

For oral administration. Empty the contents of the sachet into a mug and half-fill with very hot water. Stir well. Add cold water if necessary.

Adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years and over: The recommended dose is one sachet every 4-6 hours, as needed. Do not take more often than once every 4 hours. Do not take more than 4 sachets per day.

Do not exceed the recommended dose. The medicine should not be used for more than 7 days without medical advice. Please consult your doctor if symptoms persist.

Children under 12 years of age: Do not administer to children under 12 years of age, unless recommended by a doctor.

Precautions.

Do not take this medicine:

- together with other medicines containing paracetamol, decongestants (for nasal congestion or blocked nose) or cough and cold combinations,

- if you are taking or have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), usually used for the treatment of depression, in the last two weeks.

Special warnings.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine, including COLDREX MaxGrip. COLDREX MaxGrip should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor considers it strictly necessary.

Driving and using machines

This medicine may cause dizziness. If you are affected by this, do not drive or use machines.
