Composition
The active substances are benzoxonium chloride and lidocaine hydrochloride. One lozenge contains 1 mg benzoxonium chloride and 1 mg lidocaine hydrochloride. The other components are: sorbitol (E 420), microcrystalline cellulose, macrogol 6000, corn starch, sodium saccharin, sodium chloride, citric acid monohydrate, orange flavor (type 55607 TP.05.51), magnesium stearate.
Therapeutic indications
Orofar belongs to the group: preparations for the oro-pharyngeal area, antiseptics.
Orofar contains an antiseptic and a local anesthetic. It is used to treat oral infections (such as stomatitis, gingivitis) or pharyngeal infections (with or without difficulty swallowing), sore throats, and oral ulcers (canker sores). It can also be used for tonsillitis.
The benzoxonium chloride contained in Orofar acts against bacteria, viruses, and fungi that cause sore throats, oral, pharyngeal, and laryngeal infections.
Lidocaine, a local anesthetic, relieves throat pain and pain when swallowing caused by inflammation. Orofar does not irritate the mouth and throat.
Orofar is indicated for adults, children, and adolescents aged between 6 and 18 years.
Dosage and administration
Adults and children over 12 years old
For mild-to-moderate infections, the recommended dose is one Orofar lozenge every 2-3 hours. Allow the lozenge to dissolve slowly in the oral cavity. For severe oropharyngeal infections, the dose may be increased to one Orofar lozenge every 1-2 hours, not exceeding 10 Orofar lozenges in 24 hours.
For canker sores, allow the lozenge to dissolve slowly in contact with the lesion.
Do not chew or swallow the lozenges.
Do not exceed the recommended doses.
Children aged 6-11 years
Allow one lozenge to dissolve slowly in the oral cavity every 2-3 hours; do not exceed a dose of 6 Orofar lozenges per day.
Precautions
Patients with wounds or lesions of the oral or pharyngeal mucosa should use Orofar with caution.
Supervise children under 12 years old until the lozenge is completely dissolved in the mouth.

Driving and using machines
It has no effect on the ability to drive or use machines.
