Composition
The active substance is ibuprofen lysinate. Each film-coated tablet contains ibuprofen lysinate 342 mg, equivalent to ibuprofen 200 mg.
Therapeutic indications
This medicine contains ibuprofen lysinate, which is the lysine salt of ibuprofen. Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which relieve pain and lower temperature when you have a fever.
PADUDEN Rapid 200 mg film-coated tablets are used for symptomatic treatment in case of:
- mild to moderate pain, for example headaches, menstrual pain and dental pain
- fever and pain associated with the common cold
If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3 days (for adolescents) you should consult a doctor.
If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3 days in the case of fever treatment
Contraindications/Warnings
Before using PADUDEN, talk to your doctor or pharmacist:
- If you have certain immune system disorders (mixed connective tissue disease and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), an immune system condition that affects connective tissue resulting in joint pain, skin discoloration and disorders of other organs) these may have an increased risk of aseptic meningitis.
- If you have inflammatory bowel diseases, a history of gastric ulcer;
- If you have impaired renal and/or hepatic function;
Dosage and administration
Always use exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
This medicine is intended for short-term use only. You should take the lowest dose for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms.
Adults and adolescents weighing over 40 kg (aged 12 years or over)
Take 1 or 2 tablets (200 mg or 400 mg of ibuprofen) with water, up to three times a day, as needed. Leave an interval of at least 6 hours between doses. Do not take more than 6 tablets over a 24-hour period.
If you are an adult and need to take PADUDEN Rapid 200 mg film-coated tablets for more than 3 days for fever treatment or more than 4 days for pain treatment, or if symptoms worsen, consult a doctor
Special warnings
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
It is not advisable to administer this medicine during pregnancy.
Driving and using machinery
When used for short periods and at the recommended dose, this medicine has little or no influence on the ability to drive and use machines. If side effects such as fatigue, dizziness, drowsiness and visual disturbances occur, do not drive or use machinery.
Alcohol consumption increases the risk of these side effects.
