MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization that sets and administers a global certification standard for sustainable fishing. The MSC standard aims to promote responsible fishing and the sustainable management of marine resources.

MSC certifies fisheries that meet these criteria, and products from these fisheries can display the MSC label, which attests to their sustainable nature. Consumers can recognize MSC-certified products by this label, which gives them confidence that the product has been sourced responsibly and is environmentally sustainable.

About the supplier

It started in 2007. Jürg Knoll and Harri Butsch came to the conviction that it is not possible to continue at this rate with the industrial production of food. So they decided to completely transform their business based exclusively on sustainable food and transparent processing methods.

It started with followfish, with the aim and vision of saving the seas. The mission struck a chord with many people and in a short time made followfish the most successful brand of frozen fish. However, it also confirmed their determination to continue working on their visions of a better world. So it continued with followfood and the vision of saving the soils.

In the meantime, there are over 90 sustainable frozen, canned and fresh products, as well as numerous ecological projects and activities.
