Kitchin short-grain sushi rice allows you to prepare maki, nigiri, and the popular sushi bowls at home, just like in Japanese restaurants. Specially selected for Asian cuisine, this rice has a high starch content, which gives it the sticky texture necessary for sushi rolls to hold their shape perfectly. At the same time, the grains remain pleasantly firm on the inside and excellently absorb the traditional vinegar-based mixture, enhancing the flavors of fresh fish, seaweed, and vegetables. With this rice, anyone can prepare authentic sushi right at home.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Rinse the rice thoroughly. Place it in a pot with cold water, using a 1:1 ratio of water to rice, then bring to a boil. Cook over low heat for 15–20 minutes. Season with salt to taste. After cooking, remove the pot from the heat and let the rice rest for about 5 minutes. Drain any excess water and use the rice as a base for preparing sushi.
