Composition

The active substances are acetylsalicylic acid and ascorbic acid. Each effervescent tablet contains 400 mg acetylsalicylic acid and 240 mg ascorbic acid. The other components are: monosodium citrate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, anhydrous sodium carbonate, anhydrous citric acid.

Dosage and administration

Adults and adolescents (over 12 years of age): For analgesic and antipyretic effect, administer 1-2 Aspirin Plus C effervescent tablets, repeating as needed at intervals of 4-8 hours, without exceeding the maximum daily dose of 4000 mg acetylsalicylic acid (8 effervescent tablets).

It is recommended not to exceed a dose of 1 g ascorbic acid per day for a long period.

Contains 933 mg sodium per effervescent tablet, which must be taken into consideration by patients on a low-sodium diet.

The effervescent tablets should be dissolved in a glass of water before administration.

Precautions

Do not take ASPIRIN PLUS C

  • If you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or any of the components of this medicine
  • If you have an active gastric or duodenal ulcer;
  • If you have an increased bleeding tendency (hemorrhagic diathesis);
  • If you have a history of bronchial asthma induced by the administration of salicylates or substances with similar action, especially non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs;

Special warnings

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, fertility

In the first and second trimesters of pregnancy, you should seek your doctor's advice before taking this medicine or other medicines containing acetylsalicylic acid. ASPIRIN PLUS C should not be used in the last trimester of pregnancy, due to the increased risk of complications for the mother and fetus during childbirth.

Small amounts of acetylsalicylic acid and its metabolites pass into breast milk. Since no harmful effects on infants have been reported, it is generally not necessary to stop breastfeeding when using the medicine short-term, at the recommended doses for pain or fever. However, if long-term and/or high-dose use (more than 6 effervescent tablets per day) has been prescribed in isolated cases, the patient must discontinue breastfeeding.
