Cut the green bell pepper into approximately 1 cm cubes. Roughly chop the red onion and garlic. Slice the red chili pepper thinly (you can remove the seeds if you prefer a less spicy taste).
Cooking the Aromatic Base

In a spacious pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the bell pepper, onion, and chili pepper and sauté them, stirring frequently, for about 3 minutes.

Reduce the heat to low, add the cayenne pepper, sweet paprika, and cinnamon stick. Continue to sauté, stirring constantly, for another 2 minutes to release the aromas of the spices.
