Preparation method

First, preheat the oven to 180–185 °C and prepare a baking tray (approx. 30 cm × 40 cm) lined with baking paper.

Peel the potatoes and grate them on a large grater into a spacious bowl. Peel the red onion and slice it thinly, cut the green onion into rounds, and add both to the bowl with the potatoes. Add the 2 eggs, oregano, corn breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper, then mix the entire composition well.

From the obtained dough, start forming patties on the tray, with a diameter of approximately 8–9 cm and a thickness of 0.5–1 cm. After you have used all the dough, place the tray in the oven and bake the patties for 25–30 minutes at 180–185 °C.

Chef's tip

For extra flavor, you can serve the patties with a yogurt sauce with garlic and fresh dill.
