Preparation method
Ingredients overview
- 300 g of block Cheddar cheese
- 1 l of 3.5% cow's milk
- 350 g of macaroni (pasta)
- 1 teaspoon of iodized table salt
- 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
Grate the cheddar cheese on the large grater.
Pour the milk into a pot and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Add the dry (uncooked) pasta, salt, pepper, and sweet paprika. Stir well and simmer over low heat, stirring frequently, until the pasta is tender (approximately 10-15 minutes).
Once the pasta is cooked and most of the milk has been absorbed, remove the pot from the heat and incorporate all the grated cheese. Stir until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce becomes creamy. Serve immediately.
Chef's tip
For an even richer taste, you can use a mix of aged cheddar and mozzarella. Serve with a little freshly chopped parsley on top for added freshness.
