Ingredients for Pad Thai

  • 2 Packs of noodles
  • 1 Bag of shrimp
  • Tofu Cheese
  • 2 Eggs
  • Peanut butter to taste
  • 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 bunch of green onion
  • 1 cup of carrots, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of fish sauce
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar

Garnishes

  • Lemon slices
  • Fresh dill

Instructions

    Place the rice noodles in a bowl and cover them with hot water. Let them soak for 30 minutes, then drain them.

    In a large pan, heat the oil over medium heat and add the garlic and chili pepper (if you want it spicy). Cook for 1-2 minutes.

    Add the shrimp or meat and cook until browned. If using tofu, fry it until golden.

    On one side of the pan, crack the eggs and scramble them until well cooked. Then, combine them with the shrimp or meat in the pan.

    Add the rice noodles to the pan and mix well to combine all ingredients.

    Add the bamboo shoots or finely chopped vegetables and cook for 2-3 minutes.

    In a separate bowl, mix the lemon juice, brown sugar, fish sauce (or soy sauce), and water. Add the mixture to the pan and mix well.

    Continue to cook the mixture until the noodles are tender and absorb the sauce, adding water if necessary.

    Add the green onion and peanut butter, mix and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

    Serve the Pad Thai garnished with lemon slices, soybeans, and fresh chopped dill or cilantro.

This is a basic Pad Thai recipe, but you can customize the ingredients and flavors according to your preferences. This dish can be adapted to be vegetarian or vegan by replacing animal-derived ingredients.
