- 500 g fresh tomatoes
- 500 g watermelon (flesh)
- 1 handful fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 70 ml sunflower oil
- 1 teaspoon table salt
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 3 teaspoons fresh grated ginger

Wash and dry the tomatoes. Remove the hard part from the stem and cut them into cubes of approximately 3x2 cm. Cut the watermelon flesh (cold from the refrigerator) into cubes of the same size as the tomatoes. Cut the basil leaves into thin strips.

In a large bowl, whisk together the vinegar, oil, salt, sugar, and grated ginger until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Add the tomato and watermelon cubes to the bowl, mix gently to coat them with the dressing, sprinkle the basil on top, and serve immediately.
