Preparation method

In a medium-sized pot, place the lentils, previously rinsed with cold water (no prior soaking is necessary). Pour in enough cold water to cover the lentils well, add the 2 bay leaves and whole garlic cloves. Season with salt and pepper.

Let it boil over medium heat for about 30 minutes or until the lentils have softened (cooking time may vary depending on the type of lentils chosen).

Towards the end of cooking, add the fresh tagliatelle noodles to the pot. Cook them briefly, according to package instructions (usually 2-3 minutes for fresh pasta).
