Start by preparing the dough. Mix the flour with the salt in a large bowl. In a small saucepan, melt the lard until liquid, then add the lukewarm sparkling mineral water. Pour the mixture over the flour.

Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, until it becomes elastic and no longer sticks to your hands. Wrap it in cling film and leave it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare the ingredients for the topping. Since Flammkuchen bakes very quickly, all ingredients must be cut into very thin, almost transparent slices. Slice the salami, spring onions, and chili pepper.
