Preparing the Mummies

Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Unroll the puff pastry and cut it lengthwise into thin strips, approximately 1 cm wide.

Wrap each mini hot dog with the pastry strips, leaving a small portion free (approximately 0.5 cm) at the top for the mummy's 'face'. Use 2-3 strips for each hot dog.

Chef's tip

If you want a spicier version for adults, you can use hot ketchup or add a little smoked paprika to the mixture.
