Start by preparing the dough: In a large bowl, mix the dry yeast, 150 ml of lukewarm milk, and granulated sugar. Let the yeast activate for 5–10 minutes, until a foam forms on the surface.

Add the 000 white wheat flour, dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of salt, and olive oil. Knead the dough until it becomes homogeneous and elastic (you can use a food processor for this step). Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rest for 30 minutes.

Shaping the Croissants

Meanwhile, prepare a baking tray and line it with baking paper.

Chef's tip

For extra flavor, you can sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds on top of the croissants before baking them. Served with a fresh marinara sauce, they are absolutely irresistible!
