Ingredients
- 400 g Gruyere cheese
- 200 g Emmental cheese
- 1 pc garlic
- 200 ml dry white wine
- 1 pc cornstarch
- 1 pc nutmeg
- 1 ml cherry liqueur
- 100 g croutons
Instructions
- 1Rub the inside of the pot with garlic (for that subtle aroma).
- 2Pour in white wine, heat it gently (but don't let it boil!).
- 3Gradually add the grated cheeses, stirring constantly until melted.
- 4Mix cornstarch with lemon juice and add it to the pot for a smooth texture.
- 5Add a pinch of nutmeg (and a dash of Vișinată if you want to impress).
- 6Dip, swirl, enjoy. Repeat until the pot is empty.
- 7If the fondue becomes too thick, add a splash of wine. If it's too thin, stir in more cheese (obviously). 🫕😏
