"Monster Smile" Apples with Peanut Butter

Cut the apple in half, then cut each half into two equal pieces. Carefully remove the core, trying to cut as little as possible so that the "monster" doesn't fall apart.

On the skin side of each apple slice, use a sharp knife to cut an opening that will represent the monster's mouth. Spread peanut butter on both sides of the opening.

Insert the peanuts into the opening spread with peanut butter; these will represent the monster's teeth. Let the children help you find the right-sized peanuts!
