Ingredients
- 300 g of superior white wheat flour 000
- 180 g of butter
- 2 pcs of eggs (yolks)
- 5 g of vanilla essence
- 50 g of lemons (zest)
- 200 g of rahat (Turkish delight)
- 160 g of powdered sugar
Instructions
- 1In a bowl, combine 300g of flour with vanilla sugar, a pinch of salt, vanilla essence, and grated lemon or orange zest.
- 2Mix them, then add a packet of butter, with a minimum of 80% fat.
- 3It is recommended that this mixture be combined using a food processor to maintain its tenderness later.
- 4After mixing everything, add 1 egg yolk and a maximum of 2 tablespoons of water and mix again.
- 5Once everything is homogenized, form the dough into a ball and leave it in the refrigerator for approx. 30 minutes.
- 6While we wait, cut the Turkish delight into smaller pieces.
- 7Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide it into 4 equal pieces. Flatten each piece with a rolling pin into a circular shape.
- 8From the circular shape, cut equal strips, starting from the center outwards.
- 9At the base of each dough strip, place the Turkish delight and start rolling until it takes the shape of a cornuleț.
- 10Bake them in the preheated oven for approx. 20 minutes at a temperature of 170 degrees.
- 11After removing them from the oven, while they are still warm, roll them in powdered sugar.
