PREPARING THE CAKE LAYERS

Heat 140 g of butter, sugar, and honey over low heat for 2 minutes or until completely melted in a double boiler (the bowl should not touch the water).

Once the ingredients are combined, incorporate the eggs, whisking continuously with a hand whisk.

Remove from heat and gradually incorporate the flour mixed with 20 g of cocoa and baking soda. Start with the whisk, and when the mixture becomes too dense, transfer the dough to a work surface and knead it with your hands until smooth.
